I am currenlty on the Johnson City School Board and I am running again this year. The Primary election is on August 6, 2026, with early voting July 17 - August 1. The General election is on November 3, 2026 with early voting October 14 - Octobler 29.
I am running for a number of reasons:
- I develop software and do computer consulting for a living, and these analytical skills have been and will be an immense benefit to our School Board and school system.
- I am experienced. I have served on the Johnson City School Board for 4 years, and experience does make a difference.
- I have 38 years of real-world experience in technology, owning my own business for the past 33 years.
- In addition to the critical thinking and problem solving that helps in all areas, my background and experience with technology has helped and will help in understanding issues and implementations, and making informed technology decisions.
- I have positively impacted the community through changes made while on the school board, like hiring our current superintendent, transitioning to two middle schools, and adding on to numerous grade schools.
- I have the skills and commitment to do the job, and do it well.
